Last swim...

I took my last swim, just last month. It was just me and one other in the water. It was beautiful.

The last few months...

Snippets from life over the last few months... It takes me a while these days to finish a roll of film. I still carry my camera with me, wherever I go but it doesn't get to come out of my bag as often as it used to. I have a few excuses - I often have my hands full (with Teddy), I forget I have it with me, I'm lazy and just get my iPhone out, I'm often getting from A to B and forget to stop and look. I'm trying to change these habits... At least I'm aware of my excuses I guess.

On another note, It's almost winter and we're still swimming in the sea! I love it, the cool refreshing water is invigorating and makes you happy to be alive and right there in that moment...

A special place

Wylie's Baths, is a special place in Sydney (well I think it is). I'd say it's a must visit if you live or ever visit Sydney. The Baths were first established in 1907 by a champion long distance and underwater swimmer. To read more about the history click here.

Happy new week friends!

our last beach day

we spent our last day in Sardinia at... surprise, surprise, the beach! we rented sun beds and umbrellas, read books, chatted, swam,
snacked, played cards and snoozed. it's a good thing Teddy was only 5 months old and not that mobile, doing that holiday now that
he's crawling and standing, would have been a totally different story :)

we absolutely loved our time in Sardinia. i would highly recommend it. we loved spending 10 whole days and nights with our best
friends, catching up and laughing. it was hard to say goodbye the next day, but luckily we get to see them again soon.

these are my last colour photos of Sardinia. i still have some b&w films to develop. next stop is Annecy and the French Alps.

hope you've enjoyed exploring Sardinian beaches with me.

the best swimming spots

we heard that the best swimming spots were reached by boat, so we hired a boat one day.
we had a really fun day and were in awe of the beauty. gosh, that water - so beautiful.
i could take a dip right about now please (in reality i am at home, looking after a sick baby).

blue

as of today i'm on maternity leave! baby boy's due date is the 8th march, so not long now.
unfortunately i'm sick with a awful head cold. so i'm feeling pretty yucky.
i'm unsure how frequently i'll be posting here in the next little while...
i haven't been taking a lot of photos recently and things have been busy for his impending arrival.
but please come back every now and again to check in. i'll miss you all if you don't.
i'm still on instagram, so you can keep up to date through there, if you're interested.

redleaf

i think i've mentioned redleaf beach here before. we're lucky that it's just up the road, a 20min walk or a very short drive. we go there
a lot to cool down. it's been a very hot summer in sydney this year. the other week we had the hottest day ever recorded - 45.8
degrees in the CBD. it was stinking hot, like stepping into an oven. yuck.

so far i'm surviving the heat quite well, even though i'm very pregnant. my biggest complaint is sore swollen fluidy feet and legs. not a
pretty sight! i joined the trend and bought a pair of saltwater sandals. they have been perfect for my big feet.. some days they're the
only shoes i fit into!

i'll stop complaining now, as it's all worth it. we can't wait to meet the little guy!

mermaids at bronte beach

i thought i'd found two mermaids at bronte beach, swimming in the sea pool...
but alas they emerged from their swim and they had legs and feet. no mermaid tails in sight.

i'm back in sydney now from my family holiday up the coast. it was so nice to get away.
