lunch in town

...

i've been busy with work and appointments and friends.. hence the sporadic posts recently.

it was my birthday yesterday! i turned 32. i'm getting old. it was so nice to celebrate it in summer again. 

i've had 5 years of celebrating in winter. i went to the beach with my family and had dinner and mocktails outside with friends. 

it was a beautiful day.

i'm on holidays for a week. it's funny it doesn't really feel like christmas to me this year.. 

maybe i've gotten used to christmas in winter.

p.s i am   s t i l l   waiting on my b&w film to be developed. so annoying.

hot in the city

 

it's been hot the last few days in sydney. summer has arrived! today is a little cooler and overcast but still humid. 
i must say i'm enjoying this weather.. after living in london for 5 years, blue skies and high temperatures bring a smile to my dial. 
the novelty hasn't worn off yet!

last month we went to the sydney royal easter show. when i was a kid we'd go almost every year, it was so exciting - the rides, 
the showbags, the games, the sugar! as well as all that there are also displays of fruit, arts & crafts, farm animals, competition 
wood-chipping, precision driving, best in show - for dogs and cats and loads more.


it's when the country comes to the city and puts on a show! enjoy.

it's autumn in sydney now, so the beaches aren't as busy as they were (see above). but we've had glorious sunny days and cool nights. 
i do miss the autumn leaves of the northern hemisphere though...

the husband and i were lucky to have some time to hang out when we got back to sydney. i took these on a glorious summer's day in
february. we decided to head to north sydney pool. in my opinion this must have to be one of the world's best public pools... what do 
you think? look at that view!
