Day trip

My parents holiday in the beautiful Blue Mountains a few times a year. They spent a week there, in January with my little brother (pictured). Polo, Teddy and I joined them for a day. We hung out, played in the garden with the sprinkler and hose and also went to one of the many look outs to take in the stunning view.

The Blue Mountains holds a special place in my heart, as my paternal grandparents owned a holiday house for a long time. I grew up holidaying there and hope to holiday in the area with my own children in the future.

S I X

So, this little old blog of min turned 6 at the end of February. Yep, 6.
The last couple of years, I've been a bit absent from this space. I'm also not really sure if people still look at blogs...
Anyway, I plan to continue coming here and posting pics. It'll probably remain sporadic. Ah well, that's life.

Thanks for everyone that does still come and here and take a look and also leaves a comment. I do really appreciate it.

happy saturday to you!

i hope you all have a good weekend. what are your plans?

maria, our husbands and i are meeting shortly for coffee and gelato.
i'm hopefully going to finish off the b&w film i have in my camera at the moment.
we're having dinner with friends from melbourne tonight.
tomorrow i'm having a catch-up with some girlfriends.

i've also been trying to find clothes in my wardrobe that actually fit me. the bump is growing, which means i can't wear a lot of my nice
clothes. so my challenge is trying to be a stylish pregnant lady... wish me luck.

hope the sun is shining for you wherever you are in the world.

photos above are left overs from our october weekend in the blue mountains. yes, more rhododendrons!

outtakes: blue mountains

i didn't mean to disappear for the week, but things have been busy around here... more on that later in the week.
these are the last few images from our weekend away. i've just finished a new roll of film, so will have more from life in sydney to
share.

life in sydney is good, we're happy we made the move back here. i miss my friends back in london and also miss our frequent jaunts to
europe. but that said i feel happy and it also helps to be planning a trip to europe in summer next year - i'm already excited.

hope you're happy wherever you are in the world.

p.s thanks as always for visiting and taking the time to comment. i'm sorry i don't always reply. i need to make more time to do this
and also visit more of your blogs too.

lazing about

whilst away i enjoyed not doing a lot. the days consisted of: lazing about, visiting gardens with my mum, reading, napping in the
hammock, playing cards and scrabble and eating my dad's delicious deserts - above you will see his first attempt at a tarte tatin.

pink!

the rhododendron flowers were beautiful! i couldn't stop taking photos of the trees that looked like they were wearing beautiful
flower pom-poms. they were all over the blue mountains, these particular beauties i found in blackheath.

please forgive my obsession!
