The boy and I...

On my days off, Teddy and I like to spend a good part of the day outdoors. We often head to the big local park, choose a section and explore. Things are warming up in Sydney, so we'll no doubt be heading the the beach to dig in the sand and splash in the ocean. Fun times!

Cook Park, Orange

My sister and I drove to Orange (3.5 hours drive from Sydney) in April for an extended family get together.
Whilst we were there, we visited this pretty little park - Cook Park.
Here are some pictures from the Begonia and Fern Houses. So pretty.

it's been way toooo loooong.
i haven't been taking a lot of film photos these days. currently, instagram is easier for me.
we are about to fly off to Europe for a month. i will hopefully be taking lots of photos and will be able to share them here.

photos above from autumn in sydney. the weather here is so good. one thing i don't miss about life in London, although I hear it's brilliant at the moment, just in time for us to visit!

lazing about

whilst away i enjoyed not doing a lot. the days consisted of: lazing about, visiting gardens with my mum, reading, napping in the
hammock, playing cards and scrabble and eating my dad's delicious deserts - above you will see his first attempt at a tarte tatin.

pink!

the rhododendron flowers were beautiful! i couldn't stop taking photos of the trees that looked like they were wearing beautiful
flower pom-poms. they were all over the blue mountains, these particular beauties i found in blackheath.

please forgive my obsession!

blackheath

we've left the french alps for the time being and now we're in the blue mountains of new south wales, just over an hour west of sydney.
the blue mountains are special for me, as i spent many family holidays as a child staying in my grandparents holiday house in leura.
photos above are from blackheath park and pool, where i loved going on a hot summer's day to picnic, play and swim. it was nice visiting
again and taking a trip down memory lane.
