Sardinian details

The next few posts will be from our time in Sardinia last year...
I won't be sharing all the photos I took as some are set to be published. I'll share more details about that down the track.

The above pics were taken in the places we stayed whilst on holiday, they capture some of the details I came across.

Happy weekend friends!

Take me back...

Picture postcards whichever way you look.
We were married in the Alps, at the local town hall. We had a photo outside this tiny church.
Dappled light and cool shade walking down a mountain
Little Teddy, almost 6 months.
Village details.
Me, in the shadows holding a delicious ice cream.

Take me back...

Lunch in the Alps

My next few posts are going to be in B&W. You see, I finally had those B&W films developed that I kept mentioning - it took a while. I found a good place in Sydney to develop the film and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. So perhaps I'll shoot some more B&W, I do enjoy it.

We're travelling back in time to August last year. The above photos were taken when we were in the Alps staying with Polo's family.  On this particular day we did a hike and had lunch after, basking in the sun and resting our legs. Gosh, I wish we were going back this summer... Although I waited so long to get these films developed, It's actually really nice looking at these images 10 months on, it brings back wonderful memories.

We're planning a Euro trip next year and I'm already excited.

Green

I love seeing pattern, repetition and texture in nature. It's even more fun when there's reflection involved. It's easy to see and understand why so many artists and designers are inspired by the natural world.

These photos were taken the day we visited the Royal Botanical Gardens. These were taken in the palm and fern section, which was lovely, shady and calm (except for noisy Teddy). It was also nice to peek into the glass houses and see the plants growing inside.
