A few weeks ago, we had an afternoon picnic with our good friends Maria and Will. It was a beautiful winter's day, so we decided to go to our local harbour beach to eat the delicious cake Maria had just baked. Dear little Teddy, managed to step directly onto the edge of the cake - he was so excited when he saw it lying on the picnic rug :)
After eating cake, Maria and I went for a walk, enjoying the sun and taking a few photos.
It was a really lovely afternoon, we had the beach practically to our selves and the winter sun was so lovely and warm. I really love how these photos turned out. I think you can really feel the warmth of the sun.

This time in 2 weeks time we'll be relaxing in Bali! We're going for one week and staying in a private villa in Canggu. I can't wait!
If you have any Bali tips, please let me know.
I look forward to sharing some pics when we're back. The photos above are from our last holiday up the coast of New South Wales.

A couple of months a go, friends of ours mentioned they were going to a talk and tour of Rose Seidler House. I'd always wanted to visit, so jumped at the opportunity. It totally lived up to my expectations... I couldn't stop taking photos and I really didn't want to leave.
Rose Seidler House is considered to be one of the finest examples of mid 20th-century modern domestic architecture in Australia. Amazingly, almost all the furniture and fittings are complete and form one of the most intact post World War II design collections in public ownership.
Rose Seidler House was designed by architect Harry Seidler, for his parents Rose and Max. When completed in 1950, it was 'the most talked about house in Sydney'.

I'll be sharing some interior shots in my next post.

These days we're up early and out and about exploring. Sydney has perfect weather for being outdoors (even in winter) and Teddy loves spending time outside. Unfortunately, we don't have a garden where we live, so the next best thing is the local parks and beaches that are super close by. We try to explore new places on a regular basis, keeps it interesting :)
Happy Monday folks. Have a great week.

I love the light in our kitchen. Have you noticed how much my plants have grown?
Whilst we're in the kitchen, I want to tell you about a new blog our good friends have started, it's called Mostly Saturdays and it's by Will and Maria. They share beautiful photos of food, stories of cooking and eating, as well as delicious recipes. We've been lucky to have shared many meals with Will and Maria and they are brilliant cooks. Go check it out, your mouth will water and your eyes will love the gorgeous photos too.

I was lucky to receive some lovely native flowers from Teddy for Mother's Day back in May. I love native flowers, they look so interesting, when cut they last a long time and lastly they dry so beautifully. So, I've got remnants of the beautiful bouquet in our lounge room - these gum nuts, pictured above, and also banksias and proteas. Thanks Teddy.
