Our favourite cake

At least once a month we bake a cake. Polo often bakes. I'm lucky he likes cooking so much. One of our favourite cakes to bake is the Rose Bakery pistachio cake. It is so lovely, moist and utterly delicious. I remember the first time that Maria made it for us, I couldn't stop thinking about it a week later. Now, that's the sign of a good cake.

More from the beach

Hi! I have a feeling you may be sick of my beach photos? I'm sorry if you are. Weekends in Sydney are pretty simple and when the
weather is good, we head to the beach. We swim about 6 months of the year and also visit in the cooler months.. Hence all the beach photos.

I'm also finding since having Teddy, I'm not taking as many photos. It seems I don't always have a hand free, oh and I take photos of him, but you don't want to see all of those.

You can follow me on Instagram, to see a bit more of a range of photos if you like (warning you will still see beach and Theodore photos on instagram too).

Out of our window

One of Theodore's favourite things to do is to look out the window. He points and exclaims when he sees a bird or hears one.
Luckily there is a lot of bird life where we live.

Green

It was so lush and grain where we stayed when we were away. Beautiful rolling hills of the greenest grass.

Piaf and Jed's Wedding

The reason for our nice little holiday, was so we could celebrate the marriage of our friends Piaf and Jed. I went to uni with Piaf,
sadly I don't see her much these days, as she lives in Lismore and I'm in Sydney. But, when ever we do see each other, it's like old
times. A sign of a good friend I think.

It was a beautiful wedding in the middle of the country. Piaf and Jed did an amazing job, they got their craft on to the maximus and
created a stunning event. The theme was 1920s and everyone dressed up. It was a lovely, fun, happy day and the food as delicious.

Thank you Piaf and Jed for inviting us to celebrate with you.

xx

p.s I adore weddings, I'm urging more of my friends to get married, so that I can attend.

A little holiday

At the end of January our little family went on a little holiday up the North Coast, 9 hours drive from Sydney. (We took a plane, much quicker). We stayed inland in a house that we rented, surrounded by farmland and a short drive to a little country town. We were 20 mins from famous Byron Bay, but we enjoyed our time in the country more. So green, so picturesque.
